We really like this smoker. Easy to set-up and easy to use. I only wish the bottom vents were adjustables; however, I assume they are not because I have the natural gas unit. Low maintenance and it burns about 1 cup of wood per hour and the water needs filling after about 2 hours. Temperature has been relaticely easy to control. Cheers!
I've had this smoker since 2015 and love it! It was easy to assemble and operate. It makes smoking easy, and does an excellent job with anything we've tried. And I've had a lot of fun trying different recipes. Great way to spend a summer day…low and slow!
With the help of this smoker, I have become a local legend with meats, cheeses. Seem to have a request weekly to fire up my Broil King.
Won this about 2 years ago from an Inns & Gunn beer contest. Such a good easy to use smoker. The only issue is that the seals around both doors leak, but i am not too worried. It holds temp pretty good.
This is our first smoker it is easy to use and to clean. My family loves it.

This is my first smoker and very happy with it! Great value for money (not the cheapest but far of being the most expensive)

Just got my new Broil King Smoke, and absolutely love it. Very easy to remove and replace shelves as needed. The Turkey rack is fabulous. Racks were easy to clean, and just love the rate of smoke I am getting. So far have cooked lots of different foods, and not once have I been disappointed.
I received the vertical smoker as a father's day gift this year, Brisket was picked up for the day.. while it did take longer than anticipated the end result was appreciated by all. Ribs a couple of weeks later was utter perfection tho.. and on time.. some effort required to ensure cooking cabinet temp stayed within range.. but a good remote gauge with a few probes helps a great deal. Still working on maintaining smoke.. but experimentation is worth the effort.

I bought this smoker about a month ago and results have been great.

Well made smoker. The heat is easily controlled although the thermometer on the door is not very accurate. I would recommend a dual Probe digital thermometer be used - one probe inserted into the meat and the other probe sitting on a rack to monitor the actual temperature in the smoker. I'm very satisfied with the smoker and the smoked meat is a big hit with all the family members and friends.
Questions & Answers
Hi J, unfortunately none of Broil King's products can be converted from one fuel source to another. If you have any other questions please message us on Live Chat or call 877-743-2269 and we'll be happy to help.
Asked by J | Answered by JHello. The answer to this seems to be that results vary. Many people have reported issues maintaining temperatures at or below 200 degrees, while others say that they are able to reach these temps easily enough. Maintaining the temperature of a smoker depends on many factors, so the results may differ from day to day. Also, there is no advertised temperature range given by Broil King, so unfortunately there is no simple answer.
Asked by Thermonuclear | Answered by ThermonuclearHi Tony! Yes, you can use chucks in the vertical smoker as long as they are put in the smoker box or a tray. Just use the chucks the same way you would use the chips.
Asked by Tony | Answered by TonyHi JR. The smoker vents do play a role in maintaining proper temperature, as does the environment the smoker is in. It is not recommended to use the smoker in windy conditions. As with all grills and smokers, there is usually a learning curve associated with them and we recommend experimenting to dial in the perfect setting for your food. Hope this helps!
Asked by JR | Answered by JRHi, Bob. Yes, you'll need to connect this smoker to a natural gas line in a similar way to your natural gas grill. More installation information can be found in the owner's manual. https://cdn.shocho.co/sc-specsheets/2957022-40094-E40NG.pdf

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
