I used to have one of these and gave it to a chef after I stopped grilling. It's nice because the handle is high enough you don't have to worry about burning your fingers when you move it. And an oven mitt or heat resistant glove will fit in the space. It is heavy and presses food down into the heat. It is big. I used to put it inside my big cast iron pan with enough room for grease/heat/steam to escape the sides for bacon and hamburgers. The wooden handle stays cool. It's a good price for what you get. I wish I had seasoned mine a few times first, but I didn't know. If I got another one I would do that. Just like a cast iron pan. Treat it well and it will last forever.

Hi Vic! This grill press does not have a flat surface. It has deep grooves on the bottom to make beautiful grill marks. Hope this helps!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
