I have this built-in grill installed in my outdoor kitchen. The set up was pretty easy (fyi some assembly is required). It dropped into my cutout designed for the grill. The gas line is underneath the grill. There is an electric line for the lights and starter. This also runs underneath the grill. The cook top heats evenly. It's easy to maintain. Everyone comments on the grill when they come over.

We loved our old Blackstone and when we decided to build an outdoor kitchen, we were excited to put in the built in model 6138. We have not even used it yet, but I can tell you the drip tray is a problem. Its very difficult to remove and easy to catch on the lid. Also, just called Blackstone and there are NO DRIP LINERS available!!! What? We are supposed to clean the tray out ourselves. Unbelievable!!

Unfortunately there's not much good to say about this griddle other than the griddle surface seems to heat up evenly and it has plenty of surface area for cooking, this unfortunately you could get from a basic blackstone griddle for a fraction of the cost. This griddle was difficult to research prior to purchase and took almost 20 weeks to arrive. Shipping date kept getting pushed back and all online information was very limited and still is. When it finally arrived I discovered that the cutout dimensions provided don't account for the strange hood hinges so I had to notch out the countertop to allow for the grill to sit correctly in its location and allow the hood to open. The hood is also very flimsy and flexes if you don't open it while holding the handle directly in the center. The grease trap while accessible from the front requires the removal of the griddle surface which is heavy and cumbersome and the trap itself does not fit well in its spot and was catching on the hood when opening and closing. I can also envision spilling the grease while removing it as it does not go in and out of its location easily. I used the griddle one time to season it and the electronics stopped working completely, it wont turn on or light up. The puddle lights which now are not working all have cracked lenses after one use, not sure if it was from the high heat but all lenses are cracked. I can't find any information on how to troubleshoot the electronics and the ignition is electronic so the only way to light it now is with a match because a grill lighter will not fit through the openings provided. The stainless steel construction in general is very thin gauge and minimal, there is more black steel on the body of the grill than stainless so I am questioning how long this grill will actually last, it should be much heavier gauge and solid stainless at this price point. The knobs also have a cheap feel as they are just plastic.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
