Smoker was having a hard time holding heat when the outdoor temp was below 20, this blanket does the job and keeps the internals nice and toasty

The blanket is like a perfect fitting jacket and the magnets hold it tightly in position. It seems to work well and the outside of the jacket stays cool when in use if that is an indicator of heat retention. The material is thick and sturdy. The insulation is not uniformly filled in the chambers and there is much of the surface that is only covered by the inner and outer layers of the fabric. It came coated in a very fine shiney powder that was very clingy on the surface. I am not sure if that was some of the insulation material. Uniform padding or not it does the job and has worked well so far in 40 degree weather and I hope to be smoking into the low 20's.

Pros: The blanket really works well for cold weather cooking. Pellet consumption was reduced by about 50% with more consistent temperature from the bottom to top shelf. The blanket will pay for itself. Cons: It is a bit bulky and sometimes hard to keep the smoker door from wanting to close when loading the grill. Additionally, it can be challenging to reload pellets because the hopper top won't stay up without holding it. I'd recommend gluing a magnets to the side of the blanked so the hopper lid sticks to it when raised and the door stays open. Maybe Camp Chef can include them in the next revision. Other than that it fits well on my grill.

Hi Tom. Being double-walled, unlike the original, the Camp Chef XXL Pro WiFi smoker doesn't really require an insulation blanket.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
