This blanket was absolutely critical to maintaining even temps while smoking outdoors in freezing weather. It seemed to keep temp within 15 degrees of setting and the smoked meat came out perfectly!

Excellent build quality and it does the job of keeping the smoker at temperature when the outside air temperature is low. I have also noticed that it tends to better track the target temperature.

In cold weather, especially with even a slight breeze it is hard to keep temperatures reasonably constant when smoking your items. Pellets burn at too high a rate trying to keep up. The blanket is a close fitting wind break essentially and pellet burn is much reduced while temps stay as constant as ever, maybe better. It is not intended for high temp use and if you follow the directions you will have no problems with the straps or buckles being damaged. After the smoke cycle I just un folded the blanket from the handle and laid it on the deck, with the straps loosely attached in front. Turned the temps up for the final cook and shut down as normal when done. After the grill has cooled I simply lifted the blanket up and folded it back over the top to reattach at the handle slot. Easy peezy, effective, and no damage as others have had when using it at high temps, contrary to instructions. Nicely made and quality materials.

Blanket arrived double packaged in great condition, the fit was great I've only been able to use it in forty degree weather so I do not know how well it will work below freezing but it saved a lot of pellets from being cycled just to keep the heat. I would highly recommend this addition if you live in Michigan and want to smoke foods when the temperature gets below fifty degrees.

Bought this for my son Christmas 2021 As we live in a milder climate he didn't put it on until this winter. Literally falling apart and is unusable. Very last Traeger accessory I buy. Way overpriced for how long it last. Bought an off brand for our traeger. Heavy use and it's still great!

Does it's job. Really poor quality that it can't be used with high heat. High heat will ruin it. I've gone through 3 so far. But yet when it's cold outside the grill won't maintain high temps without. Seems silly.

Hi, Emil, and thanks for asking. The newer Timberline and Ironwood models exhaust from the back of the barrel rather than through a smokestack like on the Pro line and the blanket would be covering that exhaust, unfortunately. This blanket won't be usable on the Timberlines.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
